Jaemin Shin

Jaemin Shin has appeared as a soloist at various venues in Berlin, Bayreuth, Dresden, Almeria, Los Angeles, and so on. He has performed with a number of orchestras including Sendai Philharmonic, Eisler Winds, Colburn Orchestra, Ulsan Philharmonic, and Pohang Symphony Orchestra. The concerts Mr. Shin has given include a highly acclaimed Korean premier of Dohnanyi’s Variations on a nursery rhyme. Also as a vigorous chamber musician, Shin has played a numerous chamber music repertoires in venues such as Berlin Philharmonie, Mendelssohn-haus Berlin, The House Concert Series in Seoul. In 2015, his world premier of Djong Victorin Yu’s «Springsound» in Berlin Philharmonie gained a huge applause from critics. In addition, the video of him performing Franck’s violin sonata was introduced online by the world-widely recognized British magazine, The Strad. Jaemin Shin began his musical training in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 4. He earned Bachelor’s degree from Korea National University of Arts and Master of Music degree from Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Berlin. He acquired Artist Diploma from The Colburn School, Los Angeles, and Konzerexamen from Hanns Eisler. He has studied with Yunkyung Lee, Jinho Kim, Choong-Mo Kang, and Fabio Bidini. Shin is currently teaching in Ulsan University, Korea.
