Giorgi Iuldashevi
Giorgi Iuldashevi, born in Georgia in 1995, made his debut at the age of 12 with the Tbilisi State Orchestra. He subsequently won several prizes at national and international competitions in Georgia, Germany and France, where he has been performing regularly ever since.
Giorgi Iuldashevi graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts and completed both his master’s degrees in pedagogy and performance with distinction. He received further impulses from Christian Zacharias and from Khatia Buniatishvili, who gave him “sensitive musicality, amazing technical abilities, charm and temperament”. He was twice awarded the Migros Kulturpreis Zurich and received the Friedel-Wald Foundation Prize in Basel. In 2023, he won the Kiefer Hablitzel Music Prize & Prix Collard in Bern, Switzerland.
Other highlights included invitations from the Orpheum Foundation to two master classes with Maria João Pires and subsequent concerts at the Tonhalle Maag Zurich and in Portugal. As a soloist, Giorgi Iuldashevi performs with various orchestras and is a regular guest at international festivals.
His debut CD “Simplicity” on “Gramola”, Vienna, will be released in 2023.
